At the time, Verengaria Hotel was equipped with an in-house casino, nightclub, bars, playgrounds and grand dining room which added to its success. Staying at the hotel was a definite social event and it boasted with life and laughter. It was nicknamed the Hotel of Kings, since the elite and royalty like the King of Egypt, used to stay there. The truth is the hotel was named after the Queen of Navarre, we all know as Berengaria.

Today, the Verengaria Hotel remains one of the most popular off-the-track attractions on the island which is visited by tourists all through the year.
