  1. Petra Tou Romiou is also known as the Rock of Digenis is one of the most important natural landmarks found on the island. This beautiful ragged bay is a hotspot amongst hikers, nature lovers as well as artists who seek inspiration. As legend has it, the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite, rose from the foam of the waves at this exact spot.
  2. Paphos Castle has witnessed the city progress and develop under the rule of many past conquerors.  The dominating fort is hard to miss as it is found at the edge of the Old Harbour, separating it from the mainland by a moat. The fortress was initially built by the Byzantines to protect the harbour and city from enemy raids. During the passage of time, the Castle was destroyed and rebuilt by the many conquerors that got hold of Cyprus.   5. Saint Solomoni Church is one of the oldest Christian churches found across Cyprus. The inspirational church is home to catacombs and frescoes that date back to the 12th century. Just outside the church, visitors encounter a towering tree that is believed to have healing powers. For this reason, people hang personal items and clothing on its branches in hope to be cured from illnesses.
  6. The Roman Odeon is an ancient outdoor 2nd century amphitheatre which till this day is used for theatrical and musical performances.
  7. The Basilica of Panagia Chrysopolitissa is said to be the largest-sized basilica excavated in Cyprus. The royal-like basilica dates back to the 4th century and was initially a seven-aisled structure. The Basilica of Panagia Chrysopolitissa suffered great destructions during the Arab raids in the 7th century. After the Arabs destructions, it was reconstructed and strengthened to withstand enemy attacks.  
  8. Paphos Archaeological Museum provides a fascinating journey starting from the Neolithic Age till the 1700s. The museum is home to multiple historic treasures including the famed marble bust depicting Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty.
  9. The exhibition found at the Byzantine Museum of Paphos centres on the Byzantine Period. The museum showcases precious Byzantine icons dating from the 12th century to the 19th century. Furthermore, visitors view a variety of liturgical artefacts that reveal Byzantine art.
  10. Kato Akourdaleia Folk Art Museum’s exhibition sheds light on the ancient and traditional lives of the locals. the collection includes clothing, equipment used for rug making, farming equipment and tools as well as interesting photographs reflecting how the city used to be many years ago.
