Louis Hotels offered its own support to the Karaiskakeio Foundation’s efforts to raise public awareness and renew the Cyprus Bone Marrow Donor Record. The hotel group responded with great enthousiasm to the Foundation’s call and participated in the “Together from A to Z” campaign.
The campaign was inspired by a team of volunteers from the Karaiskakeio Foundation, to better inform and raise public awareness of volunteerism, donation and graft donation, as well as the need to continuously update the National Donors Archive. The campaign began in September and will last until February.
As part of the program, Louis Hotels has donated a letter from its logo that represents a positive word, dedicated to those who fight against leukaemia, their families, friends and volunteers of bone marrow donors. Louis Hotels chose the letter “S” which corresponds to the word “Selflessness”.
Louis Hotels staff participating in the program were trained in saliva sampling and collected samples from their colleagues wishing to be added to the volunteer bone marrow donor archive. More than 150 samples were collected from Louis Hotels, with the company staff very happily participating in the program.
Referring to Louis Hotels involvement in the Together From A to Z campaign, Louis Hotels Marketing Manager Irene Loucaides said: “Louis Hotels is actively involved in the important work of the Karaiskakeio Foundation, sending the message that if we all act selflessly, we can to make a positive impact on the lives of fellow human beings in need.”
The above action is part of a series of social responsibility actions by Louis Hotels, which recognizes the importance of contributing to the local communities in which we operate and be as close as possible to such efforts.
