4 outdoors activities to do in Cyprus during autumn

If you are visiting Cyprus during the fall, then you will find this article quite useful. Cyprus is so much more than sunny weather and blue flag beaches.

Village & Mountain buggy Safari (Paphos)

A great and exciting way to discover Paphos district lies with a 4-wheel speed machine. Mountain buggies are a fantastic way to discover off-road tracks and mountain views. The natural beauty of Paphos see from a buggy makes for a trip to remember. From Mountain ranges to rocky coasts, the trip sets you on a full day of adventure. With lower temperatures and fewer tourists, you’ll be able to take in the scenery and atmosphere in a more personal way. We suggest you find a tour offer, or simply a rental shop. You can choose your trip either from Coral Bay to Adonis Paths, to Aphrodite’s Rock, or Akamas Peninsula.

Troodos Day Trip

Plenty of beaches await eager visitors who come to Cyprus. Yet the stunning Mountainous ranges offer just as much beautiful scenery and nature as the beaches and coastlines. For our recommended day trip in Troodos, we’re taking you through some of the best attractions the mountain range has to offer. Let’s start with the Church of Archangelos Michael. A small, quaint church, only houses enough room for a single row of chairs on each side o the aisle, is a fantastic place to see. Preserved by the name of the artist that decorated it, it holds many intriguing pieces of history which you’ll discover once you get there. Driving around Troodos you’ll find another stunning spot. The copper mine is a surreal location. Red-coloured ground and deep blue water are what make up its mesmerizing beauty. Opened in 4,000 BC the mine is a true piece of history, definitely worth visiting. Last but not least, a great way to end your day tour is to take a walk through the abandoned village of Fikadrou. 870 meters up in the Troodos mountains, the village lies just as it did centuries ago. Once occupied by hundreds, today only 3 people live here.

Cruise in Akamas Blue Lagoon

Akamas Blue Lagoon, known for its crystal-clear waters and secluded nature is one of the most popular beaches in Cyprus. Of course, this entails crowds of tourists flooding this secluded beach. Not in Autumn. During this season you can have the beach all to yourself, and what we’d recommend is a cruise. Even though the water is warmer than in other parts of the area, as the lagoon is a shielded bay, ensuring a peasant temperature – even during Autumn! To access this bay one needs to take a boat or a 4-wheel drive car. The boat via the form of a cruise is a more exciting option and lets you take in the magnificence of the Mediterranean waters firsthand. Located on the west side of Akamas, the blue lagoon is a snorkeler’s paradise. With plenty of marine flora and fauna, you won’t be disappointed. Take a cruise boat from Latchi harbor and set out on a wonderful experience this Autumn.
