In Mykonos you will definitely have a blast

Greetings to all travel enthusiasts! Sometimes music and alcohol are the answer to the most difficult and complex dilemmas. When choosing your next holiday destination I can definitely verify that some music, a glass of good old whiskey and a vivid imagination will certainly do the trick. So let yourself go, close your eyes and simply pay attention to the splendid rhythmic beats inviting you to the much-celebrated venues of Mykonos. In rejuvenating Mykonos the sun is always shining and the waters are crystal clear. Dip into the bright turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea and enjoy the lively parties and the glorious beaches bursting with cool and interesting people from all over the world.

Another interesting creature that you will possibly stumble upon in Mykonos is Peter the Pelican. He is as famous as the various celebrities that walk around the narrow and winding streets of the capital Chora Town. He is the official mascot of the island and this romantic story takes us back to 1954 when a fisherman discovered an injured pelican and fell in love with him. The fisherman nursed the pelican back to life but the pelican opted to stay and from that day onwards Petros would become an integral part of the local’s lives. He would wonder all over the capital with his favourite spot being the port where he would welcome the hordes of travelling tourists. He was loved by everyone and was probably the most famous Mykonian until his death in 1986. The whole island fell into mourning until it was unanimously decided to bring another pelican to restore the balance and the void left by the loss. He was named Petros from his predecessor and until today he still attracts the crowds with his charisma and natural talents.

An additional story that dates further back in time is the legend of The Three Wells (Tria Pigadia). The myth says that if a virgin drinks water from all three wells she will instantly find her soul mate and future husband while for any man that drinks out of all three wells will fall in love and marry a Mykonian woman. Besides all the mystical powers, these three identical wells were built in 1722 to provide Chora with water. Unlike most wells, their depth is 5 to 6 meters deep as they were built into the sand where water was most easily accessible. The landmark of the identical Tria Pigadia stands outside the hotspot of Astra Bar.

The sun-kissed island of Mykonos is much visited and even more photographed thanks to its natural beauty and its ideal photogenic appearance. The truth is you do not need to drink from the Three Wells to fall in love with this amazing island that is home to the most beautiful secluded bays and to the most renowned party beaches. Whether you are a romantic or a party lover, whatever the mood you are in there is only one guarantee. In Mykonos, you will definitely have a blast.

This is all, for now, my dear fellow adventurers. In conclusion please remember that life is short and beautiful and it is strictly up to you to enjoy it and live it to the fullest.
