The Ingredients you will need are the following:

(Serves 8)

450g filo pastry

240g melted unsalted butter

150g granulated sugar

400g strained yoghurt

3 large oranges

5 eggs

2 tsp baking powder

Grated orange zest

1/2 cup of brandy

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C and heat the sheets of filo pastry. When they have turned golden, crumble them and put them in a mixing bowl.

Using a mixer blend the sugar with the butter, add the eggs and continue blending until the mixture gets fluffy.

Add the orange zest from 2 of the oranges, yoghurt, baking powder, the brandy and 1/3 of the juice and stir.

Add the crumbled filo sheets.

Prepare the syrup using the sugar, water, juice and grated zest of one orange.

Boil for a few minutes until it thickens.

Let the mixture cool.

Pour the orange pie mixture into an oiled heatproof dish (40×40cm).
Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until golden.

Remove from the oven and pour the cold syrup over it when piping hot.
And…Viola! Your Orange Pie is ready!
