FUN-tastic Limassol Zoo

Limassol’s Zoo is the largest zoo on the island, offering visitors lots and lots of fun activities to engage in.  The zoo is found on the city’s main coastal road. It is home to a diverse range of animals including mammals, reptiles and birds! Some of Limassol Zoo’s preferred animals are the cheeky monkeys, the fierce lions and tigers as well as the beautiful zebras and ferocious panthers!

Limassol Zoo is also home to a state-of-the-art educational centre where children can attend educational talks or lectures about nature, animals and animal life. Groups of children can also watch educational screenings about wildlife. Programmed talks are also held at the zoo’s outdoor amphitheatre, where zoo guides present and teach children about the animals of the zoo.

Not all children find wildlife fascinating, so besides visiting the animals and attending interesting talks and screenings, Limassol Zoo also features a picnic area where families and friends gather to enjoy a picnic day within the scenic setting of the zoo. Children may also enjoy the zoo’s Playground, an area packed with colourful wooden games overlooking the sea. While the children are having fun, parents can relax and have a coffee at the Limassol Zoo Cafeteria while enjoying the view of the Mediterranean and the fabulous flamingos!
