You need a good wine with your meal and there are many excellent local choices. Thanks to the favourable climate wine has been produced in Cyprus for over 4,000 years. You can take a wine tasting tour of the local winery estates and have a sip of the traditional sweet red wine called Commandaria with the name dating back to the crusades (commander). It is the oldest named wine of the world still in production. Enjoy the wine festivals that take place over the island, including the Limassol Wine Festival that takes place in August, and the October Afamia Grape Festival in Koilani.

If you like your holes on the green, Cyprus has plenty of golfing courses for you to consider. The four main ones are as good as championship standard with three of them located near Paphos and one near Limassol. These are: Tsada Golf Course, the Aphrodite Hills Golf Club near Pissouri, the Secret Valley Golf Courses which are in the Paphos area. Vikla Golf Course is located at Vikla Village close to Limassol.

This is all for now, my dear fellow adventurers. In conclusion please remember that life is short and beautiful and it is strictly up to you to enjoy it and live it to the fullest.
