A definite Must-Visit: Limassol’s Wine Festival

Those travelling to Limassol during the end of August or early September are in for a cultural treat! Limassol’s annual Wine Festival is on and offers lots of fun, wine & dancing! This year’s festival will is taking place from the 24th August till the 4th of September, guaranteeing all its visitors wonderful cultural days and nights!

Upon entrance it’s hard to miss the gigantic floating statue of a traditional Cypriot winegrower all dressed up in a folklore costume. The floating statue has been the emblem of the festival every since the start in 1961. Across the Municipal Gardens are stalls belonging to the different wineries in Limassol such as SODAP, ETKO, LOEL as well as LAONA and KEO. Visitors are invited to taste varieties of wine all produced locally.
