This is where the medieval knights lived, worked, trained and prayed! The Italians restored the Street of the Knights during 1913-1916. The ancient alley is the most inspiring of all in the Old Town and it is bound to transport you back through time.

During the time the Ottoman ruled the island, the palace was converted into a fortress until it was destroyed in an explosion. When the island fell in the hands of the Venetians, they reconstructed the palace using a grandiose pseudo-medieval architectural style. Currently, the palace remains as grandiose as the time it was first constructed and is home to a fascinating museum.

The Valley of Butterflies is a blossoming green forest valley with a flowing river running through it.
