Wonderful Zakynthos beckons for your visit
Greetings to all travel enthusiasts! Zakynthos (or Zante) is a magnificent Greek island in the Ionian Sea that beckons for your visit. It is very popular with tourists of all ages and well known for the sandy beaches, the vivid blue waters and the lively nightlife.
Visiting Zante and not going to see and swim at the caves is a sin. In Zakynthos there are plenty of caves that have been created by the eroding limestone cliffs and Keri Caves is one location that offers this unique experience. They are found on Keri peninsula, on the south-west coast of Zante, and are only accessible by sea. You can visit them either with a private boat or as part of daily tourist excursions and small boats can pass through the high arches. The colour of the water is vivid blue and so crystal clear that it makes it difficult to comprehend the depth of 20 meters to the bottom. There are plenty of tunnels and cracks to swim in and there are secret passages between the caves with some of them going really deep into the cliffs. The views are amazing and it would be great if could take a camera that functions underwater so that you can capture the fish and the immense natural beauty of this location.
Just 10km from Zante Town you shall find Banana Beach which is one of the best in Zakynthos. It is located in the northern traditional Greek village of Vassilikos. The beach has all the required facilities, the coast is vast and wide, the sand is golden, the water is clear and it is rightfully awarded with the blue flag. What else can you ask for? But there is much more since it has a lovely restaurant for you to taste the delightful local cuisine and a beach bar with amazing music whereby you can enjoy your coffee and cocktails. If you just want to stay on the beach then food can be delivered to your sunbeds at no extra cost. There is also a water sports centre and it offers a range of exciting water activities so when at Banana Beach you should definitely have a go at the Banana ride!
After riding the banana and the waves it is time to visit Tsilivi Waterpark for some more water fun. The waterpark is located in the area of Tsilivi and it is a 10-minute drive from Zante town. It is a medium sized aqua park and a wonderful place to go for family bonding as the kids will certainly love it. There are lots of activities to do that will keep the whole family happy and entertained for hours. Soak up the sun at the sunbeds, have fun on the slides and in the swimming pools, relax in the Jacuzzi and the lazy river, play around the pirate ship and enjoy your drinks and snacks at the bar.
