Geroskipou Sculpture Park

The Geroskipou Sculpture Park, located in Paphos, was created in 2017 and inspired by local mythology, traditions and history. Placed in a beautiful minimalist setting, the park is surrounded by grass plains and sandy walkways. Featuring works by ten Cypriot and international sculptors, the pieces are a diverse take on the local lore.

As you stroll through the park, you will come across The Great Head of Aphrodite by Olaf Klepzig, depicting the face of the Goddess of youth and beauty with an enigmatic smile. Another piece, the Inner Vision by Giorgos Moisi, is not something you can recognize but it does take your imagination for a ride. Muse by an Armenian sculptor, Emin Petrosyan, depicts a woman in a way unique to how the artist intended it – worth to see for yourself. What makes the park appealing is the playground at the centre of the park, making it ideal for families with children who don’t always want to stare at statues.   

Prokymea (Molos) Sculpture Park

Limassol offers a lot to tourists and visitors. However, one site that is sometimes overlooked, is one that in stands out a lot. The Prokymea sculpture park is located on the seafront in the Molos area. This trail of art features works by 16 artists from Greece and Cyprus, as well as some international artists – including Victor Bonato and Ahemd El-Stoahy. The sculptures featured are as diverse as the artists that created them. Some famous pieces included the Frozen wave, a picturesque work of art – especially when placed in view of the sunsetting in the background, making it a popular choice amongst couples visiting the island.         

Ayia Napa Sculpture Park

Another sculpture park is located on the eastern part of the island in Ayia Napa. The Ayia Napa sculpture park was inaugurated in 2014. The goal of the inauguration was to create a fresh tourist experience, and it might just be so as new works are being added each coming winter. What makes this park unique from the other ones mentioned is that t features pieces depicting mythological figures from ancient Greek mythology. Making it the perfect place for history and lore enthusiasts.

The sculptures were created by over 50 artists from all around the world, with that number growing every year with new additions being added. The sculptures portray iconic figures from Greek mythology and ancient history, such as the Trojan horse and Owl of Athena.
