1. Did you know that Paphos is an UNESCO World Heritage Site?

2. Did you know that Cyprus is the oldest wine producing country across the world?

It is believed that Cyprus began producing wine 5000 years ago, that’s a lot of years! Koumandaria, the local red sweet wine, was first produced on the island by the Knights of Saint John 5000 years ago. At present, Cyprus offers many wine touring options to all visitors, allowing them to sip on local vino while exploring the island’s green-covered countryside!

3. Did you know that Ayia Napa was named after the ancient Greek word ‘Napa’ meaning forest or woods?

Celebrated as one of the hottest tourist resorts of our times, with a vibrant night scene and picture-perfect beaches, it is hard to believe that back in the days the area was covered by a forest. in fact, in the past Ayia Napa was uninhabited and hunters used to visit to hunt.

Delicious and salty, Halloumi Cheese is perhaps the island’s pride and joy! Extensively used in local specialities and cuisine, Halloumi tastes heavenly whether cooked, baked or eaten with fruit!
