3 top beaches with watersports facilities

As famed for its Halloumi as it is for its beaches, Cyprus is a sun-filled paradise. There are a total of 160 registered beaches, approved by the Beach Authority, which offer a number of services and facilities for visitors, such as water sports and places to eat and drink, but let us make it easier for you. Today’s article goes through the top three beaches with watersport facilities, to make your trip that much more exciting.

Latsi Beach

The Latsi Beach is situated in Latchi, on the north side of the island. Forty kilometers from Paphos and very closed to Polis 1907 hotel the beach combines a variety of environments, enabling you to choose the setting most suitable for you. Grassy planes, pebbly shore or maybe a vast plane filled with nothing but a great view for you and your soul mate? Latchi has it all. The watersports also range from jet ski rides, parasailing and windsurfing to self-driven boats for hire.

Lady’s Mile

A truly vast beach, Lady’s Mile is a shallow water paradise. Perfect for the entire family, the beach is located only 20 mins from Limassol and has a parking lot as vast as the beach itself. Accessible by boat, the beach often has many docked on the horizon – so renting a boat to access the beach is always an alternative. The beach stretches for just over 8km, and interestingly enough gets its name from the mare of the governor during British rule, which was called ‘Lady’. Although there is a choice of watersports activities available, windsurfing is the most popular as the wind is definitely plentiful, and the shallow waters are perfect for beginner sessions.

Fig Tree Bay

For our last choice, we would strongly recommend Fig Tree Bay or Beach – depending on when you first visited the island. This beach is the crème de la crème when it comes to selecting a beach for sunbathing, swimming and watersports. Much like Latsi it has it all but like in many other instances it’s not about quantity it’s about quality. Resting only 7 minutes from Louis St. Elias Resort & Waterpark, the beach is a perfect place for a day spent well. In addition to its stunning location, the beach offers a tiny island perfect for exploration and watersports facilities that bring the entire experience together.
