Being an island, Cyprus’s beaches are the main attraction and reason for thousands of tourists coming each summer. Let’s dive into the three Blue Flag beaches located on the island, so that you know where to go on your next trip here. Cyprus offers over 40 Blue Flag beaches in total. All are worth visiting but we’ve narrowed the choice down to our three top pics to make it easier for you.

Pissouri Bay Beach (Limassol)

Our first pick is located on the coast of Limassol District. Located on the southern part of the island, the Pissouri Bay Beach took its name from Pissouri Village and is an attraction worth visiting. The beach is a thirty-minute drive away from the city itself and is definitely worth the drive. Upon arrival you will be greeted by a beautiful mountainous horizon and crystal-clear ocean waters. Watersports and other facilities are available for the swimmers from April to October.

Latchi Beach (Paphos)

For our second location we travel to the east-northern part of the island. Latchi beach is probably one of the most popular beaches on the entire island. It is located in the village of Polis Chrysochous which is 45 minutes away from Paphos city. Categorized by its vast array of boat rentals, the beach is the perfect place for not just sunbathing but sailing out to deeper waters, either for scuba diving, snorkeling or just taking a boat for a ride amidst the ocean scenery. Another perk is white sand and you have the opportunity to see turtles in their natural habitat.
