Elafonisi Beach

A small islet connected to the rest of Crete, this shallow wonder of a reef is an amazing place for a peaceful and relaxing day in the sun. It lies 82km northwest of Chania town. Balos Beach

Opposite this sandy and soft pebbled beach is a rocky island called Gramvoussa upon which a steep Venetian castle is located. With its soft seabed and crystal-clear water, the beach is a must-visit for those who appreciate nature’s most luxurious wonders. Easily reachable by a track road from Kaliviani village, you can reach Balos with a 4×4 or an excursion by boat from Kissamos.

Seitan Limania Beach

One of the most unique beaches Crete has to offer, Seitan Limania is located on the Akrotiri Peninsula near Chania. Nestled at the bottom of a narrow zig zag gorg, the beach is truly beautiful. Crystal clear waters, white sand and pebbles are the features that make it not only a unique location but also a highly desirable one. However, the beach is not as crowded as one might think due to the fact that the hike down to the beach is somewhat tricky, leaving a lot of tourists unwilling to venture down.
