Mykonos is a wonderful voyage to Heaven
Greetings to all travel enthusiasts! Today I have the most excellent news for you. I have managed to crack one of the eternal questions that has been troubling the most brilliant minds of the world for centuries. Finally, the Nobel Prize is within my grasp. There is absolutely no need for you to depart this life in order to go to heaven. The pearly gates and unconditional nirvana is just a click away so make sure you book a ticket to Mykonos. The island with radiant white architecture, scintillating blue seas, golden sandy beaches and a vibrant nightlife. It is definitely a holiday destination like no other.
Rent a car or bike and head out to discover the beauties of the island and its wonderful selection of beaches. In the southern coast, you will find the most cosmopolitan ones with loud music and wild parties that will keep you partying day and night. Paradise and Super Paradise are world famous and attract all kinds of celebrities and well known Dj’s from all over the world. Órnos and Psaroú and Platis Yalós are perfect for families but if you are looking for a peaceful beach you can visit the northern coast. Some great beaches offered for relaxation are Ayia Ánna, Ayios Sostis, Houlákia, Kápari, Agrári and Ayios Stéfanos.
The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is a good place to go and thank God for the creation of Mykonos. The name translates to “Our Lady of the Side Gate” and it is nicely situated along the way from Old Port to Little Venice and the Windmills. It actually consists of a multipart of 5 churches with the other four (Saint Eustathios, Saint Sozon, Saints Anargyroi and Saint Anastasia) built at ground level constituting the base of The Church of Panagia Paraportiani that has been constructed above them. It is one of the most photographed spots of the island and this remarkable whitewashed church will simply amaze you. The outside architecture is quite unique, it overlooks the ocean and apart from taking photos, it is a good place to watch the sunset.
Mykonos is an outstanding piece of art by itself and Rarity Gallery is a great place to visit for man-made art. Art is the vital food for the soul so all you have to do is withdraw yourself from the buzzing nightlife and the cosmopolitan beaches for a few minutes and appreciate the optical masterpieces in display.
