The architectural style of the 2nd-century amphitheatre, Kourion connotes it was initially built during the Hellenistic period. During the Roman period, the seating of the amphitheatre was altered to allow more space between the gladiator contests and spectators. In the 4th century, the amphitheatre was completely demolished by enemy attacks. Thankfully, it was restored and today still stands proudly being one of the top attractions of Limassol.
