One of the best ways to experience Cyprus as a true local is by exploring one of its mountainous villages. One of our absolute favourite is Omodos Village. The picturesque village is steeped in tradition. Omodos is located just over 42 kilometres from bustling Limassol and is definitely one of the most picturesque villages you’ll ever visit. Omodos is without a doubt idyllic for all you history lovers but is also known as one of the most prominent winemaking producers within the district of Limassol. Recognised as a historic gem, the village has plentiful to offer every visitor. One of the most noteworthy is the Monastery of Stavros. The monastery also houses a petit and charming National Museum, where visitors have the pleasure of viewing old coins, wood carvings and religious objects.

Set off on an amazing city tour of Paphos for free and explore the city on foot with a tour guide. The tour takes place every Thursday and will continue till the 27th of December.
