Acropolis of Rhodes
The celebrated Acropolis of the island stands on the hilltop of Monte Smith. The Acropolis of Rhodes was spread across the western part of Rhodes City and was made up of multiple amazing temples, sanctuaries, labyrinth-like underground palaces as well as public buildings.
Even though only a handful of buildings and temples remain today, the Acropolis of Rhodes offers visitors a chance to take a journey into the past while marvelling at ancient Greek architecture. It is believed that the ruins date back to the 3rd BC.
Asklipio Medieval Fort

Castle of Kritinia
The Venetian castle, Kritinia was built during the 15th century. The marvellous structure stands 130 metres high on the peak of a hill overlooking Kritinia Village. Its strategic location enabled the locals to keep watch of enemies’ attacks either approaching by sea or land. On the peak of the hill, visitors enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding green-covered countryside as well as the glistening blue Aegean Sea.
